To incorporate or register a new private limited company (Sdn. Bhd.) in Malaysia, the company must have:
– 1 or more directors, who must be 18 years of age or older.
– At least 1 director residing in Malaysia.
– Minimum 1 and maximum 50 shareholders. (Can be Malaysian citizen, non-Malaysian citizen, or a corporate body)
– Minimum paid-up capital of RM1000
– A registered address in Malaysia.

To be a director of a private limited company (Sdn. Bhd.) in Malaysia, you must:
– Be at least 18 years old,
– Reside in Malaysia
– Not an undischarged bankrupt
– Have not been disqualified by the Court
– Have not been convicted of an offense involving bribery, fraud, or dishonesty.

After submitting all related information to SSM, the whole process usually takes 1-3 working days for the process, provided there is no query from SSM and is subject to the approval of the SSM officer in charge.

Yes, provided the individual is over 18 years old. Additionally, the individual named as the director of the company must reside in Malaysia—either as principal or only place of residence.

Yes, that is possible. However, the sole director must reside in Malaysia.

Within 30 days of the incorporation date, the company/you must:
1. Appoint the first company secretary failure to do so is an offense.
2. Lodge the constitution with SSM (Optional); a fee of RM200 is chargeable.
3. Open company bank account.
4. Register with LHDN, KWSP, Customs and/or other government bodies or agencies, whichever is applicable.
